We finally set up the crib. The one that was given to us was missing pieces so we opted to buy a new one...plus it makes me feel better to know that its safe. A crib is just not something you can try to make do without the pieces. We put him in the crib and he just layed there and looked around for about 5 minutes. Then Pat realized how springy the mattress is and started bouncing him. He was giggling so much. The bigger change for him was not moving into his crib, but that now he is in his own room. He slept on his own last night for the first time. He did pretty good. He was stubborn at first but he settled down and slept for most of the night in there. Hopefully he sleeps through the night soon! Mommy and Daddy need it!

3 Month Update...Finally!
It's been a long time since I have updated the blog...SORRY! Life is VERY busy right now but it has also never been better. Our sweet baby is getting so big! He's bigger than most 6 month old babies. At his 2 month appointment he weighed 15 lbs and was 25 inches long. He's in the 97th percentile for his age. Anyways, He's hit a lot of new milestones in the past couple of weeks. He smiles regularly now and he even giggles, he can roll over from his belly to his back, and he "talks" all of the time. We love spending time together as a family and sharing all those precious moments. I'll try to be better about posting regularly! I won't write too much because all you really want is the pictures!

He's FOUR WEEKS OLD!
JP is growing so fast. I can't believe that it has already been a month. Parenthood is wonderful. For the past week, the baby hasn't been as happy of a camper as when he first came home. We've had a few nights of hours on end of crying. The baby has colic and is just inconsolable from about 9 pm to 2 am...at which time he collapses from exhaustion and sleeps wonderfully for the rest of the night. He is totally happy until we reach that 9 pm mark and then it starts over again. I think someone heard me telling everyone how easy being a parent is and decided I needed the challenge. He is quite precious and we love him so dearly. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure! He's so close to smiling...he's almost got the hang of it!
